Create locations and assign GSTINs

Add each branch, store, or warehouse as a location. If a location has a separate GSTIN (e.g., in a different state), assign the correct GSTIN. Each location maintains its own GST invoice series and returns.

Assign users and products to locations

Assign users to locations with appropriate roles. Products can be available at all locations or specific ones. Opening stock per location is set up once and maintained by transactions thereafter.

Operate each location independently

Billing, stock management, and daily operations run independently per location. There is no interference between locations — a peak-hour rush at one store does not slow down another.

Monitor from the head office dashboard

The head office view aggregates all location data. View real-time consolidated sales, pending transfers, outstanding receivables, and low-stock alerts across all locations from one screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have separate GSTINs for different branches in different states?+
Yes. Each location in ASTech ERP can have its own GSTIN. GST returns are maintained separately per GSTIN. When the head office transfers stock to a branch in a different state, the system creates the required tax invoice with IGST for the inter-state movement.
How many locations can I add to one account?+
There is no hard limit on locations. The Growth plan supports up to 5 locations and the Enterprise plan is unlimited. Adding a location is a configuration step — no new account or separate subscription required.
Can different locations have different price lists?+
Yes. You can assign different price lists to different locations. A premium outlet might use a higher price list while a wholesale outlet uses a trade price list. Product price lists are location-configurable without changing the master price.
How are inter-location stock transfers valued in the books?+
Stock transfers are valued at the weighted average cost of the item at the source location at the time of transfer. The destination location receives the stock at this cost. No profit or loss is created on internal transfers — only when goods are ultimately sold to external customers.
Can I track petty cash separately for each location?+
Yes. Each location has its own cash account in the chart of accounts. Petty cash receipts and payments at each location are recorded against that location's cash account, and the head office can see the cash position per location in real time.
