Zoho Books Limitations

No built-in POS module for retail businesses

Zoho Books is an accounting-first product and does not include a Point of Sale module. Retail businesses using Zoho Books must use Zoho Inventory (separate subscription) for stock and a third-party POS — making the total cost and complexity higher than a unified ERP.

Manufacturing module is limited to Zoho Inventory, not fully integrated

Zoho Books does not have a manufacturing module. Manufacturers must use Zoho Inventory for production orders. The two products share data but are separate systems with separate logins, making the experience fragmented for manufacturing businesses.

Payroll requires a separate Zoho Payroll subscription

How to Switch from Zoho Books to ASTech ERP
